This looks terrible! Apple has had phenomenal success with a simple interface. Why mess with what has worked well. This sounds like somebody from MS filed the patent! It is overly complex, and would be practically impossible to use by anybody with less-than-perfect fine-motor skills.

I think that their “less-is-more” experiment with the Shuffle should prove to them that people do not necessarily want more features, particularly when crammed into a small working space.

I’m very disappointed that they are even considering such modifications and I hope for their sake and the users’ that they do not pursue it much further.
